Santorini Hand-Poured Soy Candle | 200g
Picture the white-washed walls falling into the caldera. The Aegean light, impossibly bright. A breeze coming off the water that smells of sea salt, sun-warmed citrus, and the herbs growing wild on the cliff. Bougainvillea spilling over a wall in colours too vivid to be real. Santorini is that island, that breeze, that holiday feeling. The candle to light when you cannot get to the Greek islands and you very much wish you could.
A fresh, sun-warmed Mediterranean fragrance
This is a luxury Santorini candle for people who want their summer in a glass. The opening is properly Greek, sun-warmed citrus and sea salt, with a bright lift of bergamot and lemon zest that smells exactly like a market on the cliff at midday. The heart settles into the herbs of the island: rosemary, fig leaf, and a touch of jasmine that catches you when the breeze turns.
Underneath, the base does the holiday memory work, white musk, soft amber, and a quiet thread of driftwood that recalls boats in the harbour at dusk. Hand-poured in small batches in our Portsmouth studio using natural soy wax, finished with a premium unbleached cotton wick, intricately interwoven with a delicate paper thread and encased in a protective outer jacket, for a steadier flame and a cleaner, longer burn.
Fragrance notes
Top: Bergamot, lemon zest, sea salt
Heart: Rosemary, fig leaf, jasmine
Base: White musk, amber, soft driftwood
Why you'll love it
For summer evenings. The first warm evening with the windows open. Light Santorini and the kitchen suddenly feels six hours' flight closer to the Aegean.
For January, when summer feels miles away. Light this on the first proper grey day of the year and the room remembers what sunlight smells like.
For dinner parties. Particularly good with anything Mediterranean on the table. Light it half an hour before guests arrive and watch the conversation start before they have sat down.
As a gift for the holiday-obsessed. For the friend who plans next summer's trip the day they get back from this one. Santorini reads exactly right. Hand-wrap option at checkout.
The details
• 200g hand-poured soy wax candle
• Approximately 35 hours of clean, even burn
• Premium unbleached cotton wick, paper-threaded and jacketed for a steadier flame
• White glass vessel, fully reusable
• Phthalate-free, vegan, cruelty-free
• Hand-poured in small batches in Portsmouth, UK
The ritual
For the best burn, light it for two to three hours the first time you use it, allowing the wax to melt fully to the edges of the glass. This sets what's called a memory pool and means your candle will burn evenly every time after. Trim the wick to 5mm before each lighting. Keep the candle away from draughts, and never leave it burning unattended.
Pairs beautifully with
Santorini Wax Melts — same Mediterranean fragrance, lighter format. Perfect for filling the kitchen or conservatory with summer all year round.
Lime, Basil & Mandarin Candle — keep the citrus and herb story going with a slightly more aromatic, kitchen-garden angle.
Sea Salt & Wood Sage Candle — for the British coast counterpart to the Greek island. Same sea, different shore.
