The opening is unmistakably damask rose, full-bodied and faintly jammy, with a lift of pink pepper and a thread of saffron that keeps things sophisticated. The heart is where the fragrance properly comes alive: the warm, almost smoky resinousness of oud, woven through with patchouli and a touch of clove.
Underneath, the base does the long, sensual work, sandalwood, soft leather, vanilla and a quiet thread of amber. Hand-poured in small batches in our Portsmouth studio using natural soy wax, finished with a premium unbleached cotton wick, intricately interwoven with a delicate paper thread and encased in a protective outer jacket, for a steadier flame and a cleaner, longer burn.

The ritual

This sets what's called a memory pool and means your candle will burn evenly every time after. Trim the wick to 5mm before each lighting. Keep the candle away from draughts, and never leave it burning unattended.
