Rich, cosy and a little nostalgic, this is the one that smells like the kitchen on Christmas Eve. Hand-poured in small batches using soy wax, vegan-friendly and free from phthalates and parabens.

A festive classic done properly. Bright orange and eucalyptus open things up, clove, cinnamon, nutmeg and ylang ylang carry the middle, and a smooth base of vanilla and warm woods brings it home. Sharp, needle-fresh pine sits over a whisper of fireside smoke, the kind of scent that turns a living room into the one moment of the year everyone waits for. Proper Christmas red. The kind that looks right next to a cracker, a bit of holly and the good plates that only come out once a year.
We’ve left these unscented on purpose. Christmas dinner already smells amazing and the last thing you want is a candle fighting with the turkey. Pop them in your holders, light them as everyone sits down and let them do what tapers do best, which is make the whole table glow.

Underneath the Tree
When do I need to order by for Christmas?
Order by 12th December for UK delivery before Christmas. Everything’s poured and packed by hand here in Portsmouth, so the closer we get to the big day the busier it gets. If you’re buying gifts, earlier is always better. Delivery is free on orders over £30.
What do your Christmas candles smell like?
There are four Christmas scents. Underneath the Tree is fresh pine with a soft hint of fireside smoke. Cosy Fireplace is warm woodsmoke. Winter Spices is cinnamon-led and properly festive. Spiced Oranges is orange and clove, like the pomanders you made as a kid. All four come as candles and wax melts.
What’s the difference between the tins and the jars?
The tins are 175g in rose gold and make a lovely stocking filler. The jars are 200g white glass and burn for around 30 hours, so they’re the one to go for if you want it to last all through December. Same scents, same hand-poured soy wax, just a different look.
Are the taper candles scented?
No, and that’s on purpose. They’re for the dinner table, where you don’t want scent fighting with the food. They come in Santa Red, Snowy White and Christmas Tree Green, as singles or pairs. Large tapers burn for around 10 to 11 hours and small ones for around 9.
Do I need a candle holder for the tapers?
No, they stand on their own. Each taper has its own built-in base, so you can pop them straight on the table without hunting for holders. Just make sure they’re on a flat, heat-proof surface like a plate or coaster, as wax may drip.
Why aren’t the taper candles soy wax?
Because soy wax is too soft for the job. It’s perfect in a jar or tin, where the container holds everything together, but a taper has to stand up on its own with a flame burning right at the top of it. Soy would bend, slump and melt away far too quickly. So our tapers are poured with a firm pillar wax blend, made for free-standing candles. It holds its shape, burns steadily and gives that smooth, glossy finish you want on a dinner table. It’s still vegan friendly.
What are your candles made from?
Our jar candles, tins and wax melts are hand poured in small batches using soy wax. They’re vegan friendly and free from phthalates and parabens. The taper candles are the one exception, as they need a firmer wax to stand on their own (see above).
